Executive Alliance Expands Leadership Recognition Program to Include Canada
Demand for Collaboration and Opportunities to Showcase Successes At All Time High
ATLANTA - June 24, 2008 - Executive Alliance, creator
and provider of premium leadership-recognition forums worldwide, announced
today the expansion of its international Information Security Executive
(ISE) Award Program Series™ to recognize the outstanding achievements and
leadership of Canada's top information security executives.
Aligned with the awards and custom programs currently in the United States,
Europe and Asia, the expansion by Executive Alliance to include Canada
signals the importance of integrating more closely with US counterparts
in information security across the border.
"As the market leader in our industry, we are excited to include
Canada as part of our rapidly expanding program series and the inauguration
of this year's ISE North America Awards," said Marci McCarthy, CEO
of Executive Alliance. "Canada's fast-growing information security
industry and impressive network of accomplished leaders played a key role
in our expansion to Canada. An information security executive has a very
complex job with responsibilities to their customers, technology partners
and senior management. Our programs offer the opportunity for these executives
to meet with their peers, share knowledge and celebrate the success and
achievements of some of the very best in this industry."
With the addition of Canada to what was exclusively the US based ISE
National Awards, Executive Alliance has opened its call for nominations
for the ISE North America Awards and invites information security executives
in the United States and Canada to submit their nomination for the ISE
Executive of the Year and the Project of the Year Awards, to include academic,
commercial, and government sectors.
The ISE Executive of the Year Awards are presented to chief information
security officers or equivalent who have made a positive impact in the
industry through risk management, data asset protection, regulatory compliance,
privacy, and information security.
The Information Security Project of the Year Award honors the team behind
the project. This accolade is presented to a project team that has successfully
completed an information security project in the past 12-18 months that
greatly impacted an organization's risk management or information security
posture.
Last year's winners included:
- Enterprise Category Winner: Denise Wood, Corporate Vice President,
Chief Information Security Officer, FedEx Corporation
- Government Category Winner: William F. Pelgrin, Director, State of
New York Office of Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Coordination
- Academic Category Winner: Mark Johnson, Chief Information Security
Officer, Vanderbilt University and Medical Center
